Unblock Facebook in China

Tunneling Through The Great Firewall

12VPN vs. StrongVPN

Comments Off

Jan 2012 – I've finally updated most of the links on the site, and as of Jan 2012, all the VPNs featured on my site are working.  If you prefer to use a proxy, SecuriTales (https://securitales.com/secure) is a great solution. Click HERE to read more about SecuriTales proxy service.

I use 12VPN and despite having tried several other companies over the years, I will continue to use their service. However, in light of keeping up with what exactly is the best VPN in China, and keeping things updated here at Unblock Facebook In China .info, I tried StrongVPN out for a month. Here's my comparison of the two.

***StrongVPNs main domain is currently blocked in China, so the links you find here won't for if you have a Chinese IP. 12VPN has a mirror site that works, so links here will take you to their 'secret' domain.

PureVPN in China

PureVPN also has custom VPN options for users in China, including iPhone/Android owers

BTW, if you sign up through my site here, and use the code "promo7286", you get 10% off, which makes 12VPN super cheap.

How is 12VPN better that StrongVPN?

  • 1. Customer Service
  • 2. Simplicity of options
  • 3. Simplicity of setup
  • 4. Offers mobile solutions for users in China (Nokia, Android, iPhone)
  • 5. Mirror site available for China

How is StrongVPN better than 12VPN?

  • 1. More Options
  • 2. Live Support

StrongVPN is a great company. Whatever your VPN needs are, they have them. You can rely on them  for Twitter updates, blog updates, and a reliable VPN to get done what you need to get done, when you need it done.  They've got servers all over the world, thousands of IP addresses to choose from, and well,  the support and service that comes with such a popular company.

12VPN may be a smaller and younger company, but they've got a great support team (even though it's not live support.  If you run into any problems with your VPN, they are always happy to help.  Though at first glance it may seem like they have fewer options available, they do offer VPN servies for a range of devices – basically everything you could every need.  There is only one price plan available, but it includes about 20 server locations that you can switch between freely, at no extra cost (StrongVPN charges you).

Someone who prefers StrongVPN to 12VPN might…

    • Like the professional look of their website
    • Want to choose a VPN pack based on their current location
    • Feel at ease knowing that live support is just a click away if you run into any trouble

Someone who prefers 12VPN to Strongvpn might…

    • Absolutely hate computers and dealing with new types of software
    • Want to get their VPN quickly, and not deal with all those confusing choices
    • Like the idea of having unlimited switching of servers/IP addresses
    • Want to use a mobile device in China

    Go to 12VPN

    Go to StrongVPN

    ……

StrongVPN has had their main domain blocked in China. A great alternative would be PureVPN
